A Crvenka resident’s interesting undertaking: walking to Foča

Dragisa Đuričić of Crvenka has embarked on an interesting undertaking. Yesterday, he set out from Crvenka for Foča in Republika Srpska. What is unusual is that Đuričić will walk all the way to Foča. He explains his decision to walk as a way of confronting the habits of modern man, because, as he put it, these days people have no time for themselves and are constantly chasing money and dealing with obligations. By walking to Foča, he wants to devote some time to himself. Đuričić chose Foča as his final destination because about ten years ago he was supposed to go there to celebrate the family patron-saint day with friends and relatives, but since he did not want to travel by car, he did not go; he sees this walk as a way of atoning for that. The journey will take six days, during which Đuričić will walk 350 kilometers. He has taken only a bag on this adventure, packed with around ten kilograms of various essentials: socks, ointments, bandages, plasters and food. He has also brought a positive attitude, which he will certainly need to see an undertaking like this through to the end.
