A weekend marked by a handball derby
An exciting sporting weekend lies ahead, with fans focusing on the match in round 13 of the Super B League handball championship: a municipal derby to be played in Sivac between Sivac 69 and Crvenka.

An interesting weekend of sport lies ahead, with the match in round 13 of the Handball Super B League championship at the center of sports fans’ attention: a local derby to be played in Sivac, where Sivac 69 will face Crvenka. Sivac coach Branko Žeželj says he expects a good match, since both teams are comfortably placed in the standings, so there should be no tension. Sivac have injury problems: Kalić has swelling in his knee, Marjanović has an ankle sprain, Kopanja has a strained thigh muscle, while Beslać has been running a temperature for a few days. However, this will not deter them from going into the derby aiming to win. The match in Sivac will be Crvenka’s first this spring, and, as coach Vladimir Zejak said, the players are eager to compete for points. He knows the hall will be full, which is an additional motivation for his players to give their all. The match between Sivac and Crvenka will be played tomorrow in the newly built hall in Sivac, kicking off at 19 hours.
The second half of the season for our football clubs also begins this weekend.
In the first round of the spring half of the Vojvodina group of the Serbian League, Hajduk’s footballers will travel to face Omladinac from Novi Banovci. The team from Kula has significantly rejuvenated its squad and, mindful of its position in the standings, leaves the favorite’s role to the home team. As Hajduk’s coach Slobodan Bačić said, the home team is always a difficult opponent: a tough, strong side that has been carefully assembled over a long period, with the exceptionally good coach Stevanović, who favors aggressive football. But the “hajduks” will not go there with a white flag and will try to do what is best for them. The match between Omladinac and Hajduk is scheduled for tomorrow, kicking off at 14 hours and 30 minutes.
In the first round of the spring half of the Vojvodina League season, Crvenka’s footballers host Tavankut. Their position in the table makes victory imperative for Crvenka if they are to catch up with the teams in mid-table. Crvenka coach Živko Jovanović stresses that the first match is also the most important and will determine how the rest of the season unfolds. He therefore expects his players to secure a win through maximum effort and fighting spirit and move into calmer waters in the table. The Crvenka–Tavankut match will be played tomorrow at the “Milorad Džomba” Stadium in Crvenka, kicking off at 14 hours and 30 minutes.
In the first round of the second half of the Sombor District League season, Rusin from Ruski Krstur travel to Obrovac to face Borac. It is a derby, as Borac are third and Rusin fourth in the table. There have been changes in the Krstur side during the winter break. Srđan Đukanović has taken over as coach from Ranko Delić and will also play. Rusin have strengthened their squad with goalkeeper Jovica Kalinić and players Dimitrije Šarac, Nemanja Kulić, Aleksandar Kočiš and Matej Sajanković, so the match against Borac will be an opportunity to see how they have settled into the team. Borac and Rusin will meet in Obrovac on Sunday, with kick-off at 14 hours and 30 minutes.
In round 13 of the Vojvodina Futsal League championship, Hajduk's futsal players host Novi Sad in front of their home fans. The match will be played on Sunday in the Petefi Brigade Primary School gym and will start at 19.
In round 17 of the First Serbian League championship, Hajduk’s basketball players host Novi Sad’s Sloboda. Coach Danilo Borović’s players owe their fans a win, having lost to Vrbas at home, so the matchup with Sloboda is an opportunity to make amends. The match between Hajduk and Novi Sad’s Sloboda will be played tomorrow in the Petefi School hall in Kula, tipping off at 19 hours.
In round 16 of the Serbian First League – Vojvodina Group championship, Hajduk’s bowlers travel to Novi Sad, where they will face bottom-placed Radnički on Sunday at 14 hours.
