Access to the Unified Voters’ Register in connection with the presidential election in the Republic of Serbia

In connection with the election for President of the Republic of Serbia, scheduled for 03 April 2022, residents of the Municipality of Kula may inspect the section of the voter register maintained for the municipality to check whether they are registered and request a decision authorizing changes to the register (registration, deletion, amendment, addition or correction).

The part of the voter register may be inspected until the register is closed, 18 March 2022 at 24,00, in person on any working day from 7 to 15 at the Kula Municipal building, Leninova St. no. 11, and at the local offices in Crvenka, Sivac, Kruščić, Lipar and Ruski Krstur, as well as electronically on the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government (https://upit.birackispisak.gov.rs/) by entering the citizen’s unique identification number.

Until the voter register is closed, 18 March 2022 at 24,00, citizens may ask the Kula Municipal Administration to issue decisions establishing changes to the voter register (registration, deletion, amendment, addition or correction). From the closing of the voter register until 72 before election day (until 30 March 2022 at 24,00), the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government shall issue decisions establishing changes to the voter register, based on citizens’ requests submitted directly to the Ministry or through the Municipal Administration.

After the candidate proposal has been announced, the person who submitted the electoral list, or someone authorized by them, also has the right to inspect the register and submit a request for registration or a change to the voters’ register, following the same procedure available to citizens. The authorization and required supporting documents must be attached to the requests.

No later than five days before the voter register is closed (by 12 March at 24), a citizen may request that the voter register be updated to state that they will vote in the upcoming elections according to their place of residence in the country or abroad.
