Today, at the main hall of the Kula Municipal Assembly, certificates recognizing the sixty top students from the municipality of Kula, who have an average grade above 9,00, were presented in compliance with epidemiological measures. This year, as in previous years, the municipality of Kula has provided funds to reward the top students. When presenting the agreements to the students, Damjan Miljanić, President of the Municipality of Kula, emphasized that they are a source of pride and that the local government wishes to reward their hard work in this way.
Thanking them for the award, Nadezda Seratlic from Kula, a student at the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad, said that preparing for exams is demanding and takes a lot of effort and hard work, but that in the end it all pays off.
“This award motivates me and shows me that someone appreciates how much time I devote to my education,” said Nadežda.
Her colleague Vera Zelić from Crvenka, who studies tourism at the Faculty of Sciences, shares the same view and emphasizes that the award is a great help with the costs of living and studying in Novi Sad.
Bogdan Pješevac from Kula studies petroleum and petrochemical engineering.
“Every university program is difficult in its own way and requires a great deal of work. Like my colleagues, I worked hard, and that effort resulted in an average grade above nine. The Municipality of Kula recognized this and rewarded us. The financial assistance means a lot in helping us achieve all our educational wishes and goals, and it will also greatly help our families,” said Bogdan Pjesevac.
“This is a good practice that the Municipality of Kula has maintained for many years. What matters to us as a municipality is that the number of successful students is growing year after year, and that it has now reached a very significant level considering the size of the municipality. Having 60 students with an average grade above nine is something to be proud of. It gives us hope and shows us that everything we do—as a municipality, as local government, as a state, and through the entire primary and secondary education system—is being done successfully, and that we should continue along this path.”
The award is a modest contribution to students, but what is truly impressive is that there are also many highly successful students here in medicine, electrical engineering and all other fields, who will lead the future development of our Municipality and the country. I am convinced that there will be similar opportunities in the coming years for the Municipality of Kula to recognize its most successful students, said President Miljanic.
The awards were granted on the basis of a competition, and everyone with an average grade above nine received an award. The Municipality of Kula will pay a total of 3,6 million dinars for this purpose, or sixty thousand dinars to each student in two equal installments. The first installment of 30 thousand dinars is to be paid by the end of February, and the second in the same amount a few months later.
