Christmas Eve was ceremonially celebrated again this year in all the communities of the Municipality of Kula, with the traditional burning of the Yule log attended by a large number of worshippers.
In Kula, as in previous years, the blessing and lighting of the badnjak took place at two locations—the Church of Saint Mark and at Jaroš—organized by the Kula local communities, with live music, mulled wine and tea.
In Sivac, the ceremonial placement and lighting of the badnjak took place in the schoolyard beside the Church of Saint Nicholas; in Crvenka, the badnjak was lit in the courtyard of the Church of Saint Sava, and it was also lit in Nova Crvenka.
The yule log was also ceremonially burned in Lipar, in front of the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in the village center, as well as in Kruščić and Ruski Krstur.
