Handball and basketball players take to the court over the weekend

In round 10 of the Serbian ARKUS Super League, Crvenka’s handball players will host Dinamo from Pančevo. Crvenka have yet to taste victory, and Dinamo are coming to town—a team considered, alongside Vojvodina, a contender for the top spot, which suggests a very difficult match awaits Vladimir Zejak’s players. Their task will be even harder given that they will be without the Čabrilo brothers, injured Mitrović and ill goalkeeper Pavićević, while goalkeeper Vitas’s participation is uncertain due to work. Nevertheless, coach Zejak says he will expect maximum commitment from his players, and that the result will be a product of their performance. The match between Crvenka and Dinamo from Pančevo will be played tomorrow at the “Slobodan Čile Mišković” Hall, starting at 18.

As for handball, here is another update: In view of the difficult epidemiological situation, and following the responses from clubs in the North group of Serbia’s First Handball League, in which Crvenka’s “Laki” Handball Club competes in the women’s division, a decision was made to suspend the competition and, if conditions permit, resume it on 13 or 14 February next year, starting with round 8. Clubs may also play postponed matches from the previous period in the meantime. As for “Laki” Handball Club, the young handball players from Crvenka have played six of the seven scheduled rounds; they did not play in the first round against Proleter from Zrenjanin and must agree with them on when that postponed match will be played.

In the 10th round of the First Serbian Basketball League, Hajduk’s basketball team travels to play Omadinac in Novi Banovci. The Kula team has suffered two consecutive defeats, so the match against Omadinac is an opportunity to redeem itself. The game between Omadinac of Novi Banovci and Hajduk will be played in Stara Pazova on Sunday, starting at 17.
