The winners of the fish paprika stew cooking competition “Ante Maras Maki Memorial,” organized by the Crvenka Tourism Association and sponsored by the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Kula, were the Zeleznik-Teg team, at the Crvenka picnic site Potok on Saturday.
The beautifully maintained grounds and fine weather drew a large number of visitors to Crvenka’s Potok. The organizers observed the protective measures, spacing the teams appropriately, and, precisely because all the safety measures were implemented, limited the number of teams, since considerably more than 27 wanted to take part in this prestigious competition.
The judging panel, which had no easy task choosing the tastiest fish paprika stews, consisted of Zdravko Scepanovic from Kruscic, and Zoran Ruzicic and Pero Svilar from Crvenka. After carefully assessing the samples submitted, they announced their decision: third place went to the “Slobodni Momci” team from Kula and Crvenka, second place to the Kruscic Local Community team, and first place to the Zeleznik Belgrade–Teg Crvenka team.
It should also be noted that, in addition to the fish paprika stew cooking competition, the organizers prepared free army-style bean stew for all visitors, as well as a raffle with many prizes, supported by numerous local entrepreneurs, individuals and agricultural households. Interestingly, the grand raffle prize, a roasted lamb, was won by judging panel member Zoran Ruzicic and his friend Milutin Bjedic. Naturally, this year’s “Ante Maras Maki Memorial” fish paprika stew cooking competition at Crvenka’s Potok would not have been complete without an accompanying entertainment program. Momo and Dodir, together with Dzimmy Stanic, entertained the visitors.
