Based on the monitoring previously carried out in the Kula municipality, mosquito control treatments need to be carried out from the ground and from the air. These treatments will be carried out on 23 July 2021, depending on weather conditions. The protective zone around Kula will be treated from the air, while all populated areas will be treated from the ground. The treatments will use products based on lambda-cyhalothrin and deltamethrin.
Beekeepers are warned that the product is toxic to bees, and should close their hives or move them at least five kilometers away from the designated treatment areas. The product remains effective for one day.
