Pension payments for March begin tomorrow

Pension payments for March, increased by a one-off allowance of 4.000 dinars, begin tomorrow. People over the age of 65 can collect their pension in three ways: authorize someone they trust to withdraw it from their current account, give a trusted person their card and PIN to withdraw it from an ATM, or ask the bank to deliver the money to their home address.

Aleksandar Čortan, a member of the Executive Board of Poštanska štedionica Bank, told RTS that the entire March pension and 4.000 dinars in assistance will be paid together tomorrow.

Asked which payment method pensioners chose, Čortan says they made their choice when their pension was paid on 25 March, and that 60 percent opted for payment through a one-off authorization, 30 percent withdrew their money from an ATM, while 10 percent chose to have their pension delivered to their home address.

He noted that the post offices would also be open over the weekend, since they are, in fact, bearing the greatest burden in this process.
