On Sunday, Crvenka will host a reunion of the generation of Crvenka handball players who, 40 years ago, in 1981, won the Yugoslav junior championship title in Skopje. In the final played on 1 February 1981, Crvenka’s juniors defeated Celje and won the championship title. That generation included goalkeepers Jovan Mjerimačka and Milovan Erceg, and players Živko Drašković, Dušan Dragićević, the late Zlatko Portner, Mile Miljuš, Nikola Grahovac, Ranko Škrbić, Vlado Smiljanić, Zoran Vasić, Radovan Kukić, Mile Bojanić, Dragan Kukić and Zoran Kukić. They were led from the coaching bench by Milorad Lajić. Sunday’s reunion will be an opportunity to reminisce once more about the glorious moments of Crvenka handball.
