A sports weekend featuring athletics and local derbies

A packed weekend of sports lies ahead, featuring an athletics event.

The Serbian Athletics Championship in the 10-kilometer road race will be held in Kula tomorrow. According to the organizers, the Hajduk Marathon Team athletics club, around a hundred competitors will take part in tomorrow's race, including several members of the Serbian national team. Seniors, under-23 athletes and juniors will compete, and an Open Run will also be organized, in which anyone interested can participate. The race will be run on a two-kilometer course, over five laps. The race is scheduled to start at 11 in the center of Kula, near the monument, and the opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 hours and 30 minutes.

All three of our handball teams are playing away this weekend.

In the fourth round of the Super B League championship, Crvenka’s handball players travel to Loznica tomorrow, where they will face the team of the same name. Loznica are unbeaten, playing in front of their home fans, and are the favorites. However, if Crvenka repeats its defensive performance from last round against Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej, it could hope for a favorable result. The Loznica–Crvenka match in Loznica will begin tomorrow at 17 hours.

In the fourth round of the First League, Sivac 69 travel to Bačka Palanka to face Lavovi. Sivac have earned five points in their first three rounds and are an experienced side; if they impose their style of play, it would be no surprise if they remain unbeaten. The match between Lavovi and Sivac will be played in Bačka Palanka tomorrow and will start at 18 hours and 30 minutes. In the Women’s First League, in the fourth round, Laki from Crvenka travel to face Sloven in Ruma. The hosts have won all three matches so far this season, but the young women from Crvenka will not give up easily. The match between Sloven and Laki from Crvenka will be played in Ruma tomorrow and will start at 18 hours.

Football news.

Two municipal derbies will mark this football weekend. In the 10 round of the Sombor District League championship, Hajduk Junior host Mladost from Kruščić tomorrow at the Milan Sredanović Stadium. The Kula team are clear favorites. On Sunday, also in Kula but at Geder, the second municipal derby will be played, featuring Kula and Rusin from Ruski Krstur. An exciting match is expected, with the hosts looking to make the most of home advantage, while Rusin have gone unbeaten in their last six rounds. Second-placed Crvenka host Budućnost from Mladenovo in front of their fans tomorrow, while Lipar host Borac from Bački Gračac on Sunday. The matches begin at 15.

In the seventh round of the first division of the Sombor Intermunicipal League, Polet in Sivac hosts Dunav from Bački Monoštor. If they want a quick return to the District League, Sivac must win. In the sixth round of the Sombor Intermunicipal League Second Division, Kula football club KFK will host Telečka at Geder tomorrow. The visitors are bottom of the table, so anything other than a KFK win would be a surprise. This match will also start at 15 o’clock.

In the fourth round of the Women's First League championship, Polet's women's football team host Karađorđe from Topola in Sivac. Sivac's players recorded their first win in the previous round and, encouraged by it, are promising another success.
