With a win in the final round of the autumn season in the Serbian First Handball League, Sivac 69 secured the autumn championship title. Visiting Mokrin, Sivac 69 thrashed hosts Crvena Zvezda 37:17. Marko Čabaj was the top scorer for the Sivac team, netting 14 goals. Sivac 69 finished the autumn half of the First League championship top of the table with all eleven matches won and 22 points earned. Another point worth noting is that Sivac’s handball players achieved a goal difference of plus 130, meaning they beat their opponents by an average of more than ten goals—a testament to the undeniable quality of Sivac’s handball players.
In the 10th round of the Super B League, Crvenka’s handball players suffered another setback in front of their home fans. They were beaten 24:23 by Kolubara from Lazarevac. The visitors simply took advantage of the gifts Crvenka’s players gave them. How else can we explain the fact that in the 21th minute Crvenka were five goals ahead and playing well, but then a series of mistakes followed, allowing Kolubara to gradually catch up and overtake Crvenka in the 40th minute. Still, the home team had one last attack to equalize, playing with seven outfield players and no goalkeeper, but Šveljo missed from the wing, and the points went to Lazarevac. Young Bošković was Crvenka’s top scorer with 7 goals. Crvenka are bottom of the table with 5 points, and in the final round of the autumn season they travel to face Morava in Velika Plana.
The young Crvenka handball players, the Laki team, lost to hosts Kikinda 25:20 away in Kikinda in the final round of the autumn half of the First League season. Kikinda lead the table, having won every match, so little more could be expected from Laki beyond an honourable defeat. Laki’s top scorers were Dragana Radulović and Dragana Dimitrić, with 5 goals each. Laki finished the autumn half of the First League season in ninth place with 6 points.
Hajduk’s basketball players secured a win in the 10 round of the First Serbian League championship. In front of their home fans, the Kula team beat Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej 110:95. The score shows that both teams were more offensively minded, scoring a total of 205 points, which is not often seen on our courts. With three wins and six losses, Hajduk’s basketball players are twelfth in the standings. In the next, 11 round of the championship, Hajduk’s players visit last-placed Akademik in Srbobran on Saturday, but beforehand, on Wednesday, they will play the postponed ninth-round match in front of their home fans, hosting Omladinac from Novi Banovci.
Sivac’s basketball players, who compete in the Second Serbian League, have recorded their ninth consecutive defeat. In the 9th round, Sivac lost 96:86 to Apatin. The game was decided in the final quarter, which Apatin won by ten points, 25:15. Sivac are bottom of the table with nine defeats from nine games, and next round they host table leaders Sloboda from Novi Sad.
