In a match in round eight of the Serbian League Vojvodina group championship, Hajduk beat Sloboda from Novi Kozarci 2:1 at home in Kula, although the visitors won the first half 1:0. However, the persistence and great effort of Hajduk’s players paid off in the second half: first they equalized through Lončar, then Furula scored from the penalty spot to secure a valuable win. Considering that Hajduk also played the match against Sloboda with a weakened team, without suspended captain Vuković and ill Marić, Hajduk coach Slobodan Bačić was understandably pleased with the victory.
Hajduk is currently sixth in the standings with 14 points, and in the next round will visit Borac in Sakule.
Crvenka’s footballers’ poor run continues in the Vojvodina League, North Group. In the 7 round, Crvenka recorded their third consecutive defeat. Away in Bački Petrovac, hosts Mladost convincingly outplayed Crvenka, winning 6:0. Crvenka are fifteenth in the table with 5 points, and in the eighth round they host Krila Krajine from Bačka Palanka.
The past sports weekend will also be remembered for Rusin of Ruski Krstur suffering its first defeat in the Sombor District League. In round 7, Rusin lost 2:0 away to home team Borac in Obrovac. The Krstur team is currently third in the standings with 16 points, and will host Kordun of Kljaјиćevo in Ruski Krstur in the next round.
The fifth round of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division championship was marked by a municipal derby in Kruščić, where hosts Mladost faced Kula. Kula’s footballers won 3:1, with goals from Đođić, Savić, and Čiča, while Rabrenović scored Mladost’s goal from the penalty spot. Lipar’s footballers also delighted, beating Omladinac from Deronje 1:0 away in Bač. Banović scored the decisive goal. Our fourth representative, Polet from Sivac, drew 3:3 away against Dunav in Bački Monoštor. Đukić, Furtula, and Zejak from the penalty spot scored for Polet. After the fifth round, Kula are second and Lipar third in the table with 12 points, Polet are sixth with 8, and Mladost are eleventh with 3 points. In the next round, Lipar will host Hajduk from Stapari, Polet will host Dinamo from Bački Brestovac in Sivac, Kula will visit Partizan in Kupusina, and Mladost from Kruščić will visit Aleksa Šantić.
