Most of our football clubs marked the Easter holidays with successful performances.

In round 21 of the Sombor District League championship, Hajduk Junior beat ŽAK 6:1 away in Sombor. Danojević, Furtula, and Drpljanin scored two goals each for the Kula side. Lipar recorded its first spring win, beating Stari Grad from Bačka Palanka 3:1 in front of its home fans. Karin, Čvokić, and Banović scored for Lipar. Mladost beat Terekveš from Svilojево 2:0 in Kruščić, with goals from Sobek and Kirti. Rusin drew 1:1 with Budućnost from Mladenovo in Ruski Krstur. Branković scored for Rusin. Our fifth representative, Polet from Sivac, lost 5:0 away to Šikara in Sombor. Hajduk Junior is currently fourth with 34 points, Rusin sixth with 33, Mladost tenth with 26, Lipar fourteenth with 21, and Polet last with 12 points. In the next round, scheduled for tomorrow, there will be a municipal derby: Polet and Mladost from Kruščić meet in Sivac, Hajduk Junior hosts OFK Šikara, Lipar travels to Svilojево to face Terekveš, and Rusin will take on Hercegovac in Gajdobra.

Our representatives in the Sombor Intermunicipal League, First Division, also did well. Crvenka beat Omladinac from Bukovac 2:0 in front of their home fans, while Kula beat Hajduk from Stapar 2:0 at Geder. After 16 rounds, Crvenka are second in the table with 33, while Kula are fourth with 23 points. In the next round, Crvenka travel to bottom-placed Graničar in Riđica, while Kula visit Omladinac in Deronje.

In round 15 of the second division of the Sombor Inter-Municipal League, Kula Football Club (KFK) lost 4:1 away to league leaders Partizan in Kupusina. KFK are currently fifth in the table with 21 point, and in the next round they will host Jedinstvo from Ribarevo.

The Easter weekend was not successful for our basketball teams.

In round 25 of the First Serbian Basketball League, Hajduk lost 107:93 to Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej in front of their home fans, with the halftime score 50:46 in the visitors’ favor. The game was decided in the final quarter, which Jedinstvo won 28:19. One reason for Hajduk’s defeat was that they were without injured players Baijić, Vladetić and captain Škrbić. Our other representative, Crvenka, lost 117:88 away to Železničar in Inđija. By halftime, when the home team led 62:39, it was clear that the points would stay in Inđija. Hajduk are sixth in the table with 13 wins and 12 losses, while Crvenka are last with just one win and 24 losses. In the next and final round of the championship, Crvenka host Sloven from Ruma, while Hajduk travel to Topola in Bačka Topola.
