More than 250 competitors from across the region took part, including athletes from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Romania, France, Japan, and the United States. The president of Kula Municipality, Damjan Miljanić, attended this fighting spectacle and noted that Kula Municipality is becoming known for events of this kind and that they will always receive appropriate support from the local government:

“The Municipality of Kula is becoming known for organizing events like this. The martial arts clubs in our municipality are doing excellent work, and this certainly applies to the club organizing this tournament for the third time. The municipality is a partner in the dedicated work of the team led by Dejan Tešić and contributes financial support. Our policy is to support local clubs so they can become known throughout Serbia and the region.”

The sports weekend in the Municipality of Kula was packed with events, including a karting competition. The “Kula Grand Prix 1” kart race was held at the Kula karting track. Zlatko Dobrota of the Serbian Sports Auto and Karting Association spoke about it:

“We have a record number of competitors this season, with 35 competitors taking part on this track in five categories. We have the Mini Talent category for children aged seven to ten, followed by the second category, Rotax Junior, for participants aged 12 to 14. The next category is Rotax Senior, for participants aged 14 and over. The fourth category is Racing Sport, for what we call our young veterans, aged 27 and over, and the fifth category is the renowned KZ, the so-called Formula 1 of karting. We have made a very good start this season in terms of organization and competitor turnout, and we owe a great deal of thanks to the people from the Municipality of Kula and the Kula Tourist Organization for believing in us and generously supporting us from the very beginning of this endeavor.”
