Crvenka’s handball players have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Vojvodina Cup

Crvenka’s handball players have qualified for the quarterfinals of the Vojvodina Cup after beating host team Sivac 35:31 in the round-of-16 match played in Sivac, with the halftime score 17:16 in Crvenka’s favor. Both teams entered the match weakened, without several regular players, but put on a performance worthy of league competition. The first half was played goal for goal, until Sivac took a three-goal lead in the 22 minute, going ahead 13:10. Crvenka then went on a 4:0 run, took the lead, and the “squirrels” went into the break one goal ahead. Crvenka started the second half better, leading by four goals in the 33 minute, at 20:16, but Sivac quickly equalized with a 4:0 run and took a two-goal lead in the 45 minute. Crvenka’s handball players did not give up and equalized in the 47 minute, then took a three-goal lead in the 58 minute and comfortably saw out the match. Marko Čabai was Sivac’s top scorer with 15 goals, while Vojin Čabrilo led Crvenka with 10. However, Crvenka’s Vuk Perović, scorer of nine goals, was named player of the match. In the Vojvodina Cup quarterfinals, Crvenka’s handball players will face Vrbas.

The cup match in Sivac was a good warm-up for the league fixtures for both the Crvenka handball players and the hosts, Sivac. In the eighth round of the Super B League championship, Sivac 69 play away in Belgrade tomorrow, where they face Voždovac at 20 hours and 30 minutes, while the Crvenka handball players also play tomorrow, facing bottom-placed Morava in Velika Plana at 19 hours.

In the eighth round of the First League for Women’s Handball, both of our teams are playing away. Tomorrow, at 19 hours and 30 minutes, the women’s handball club Krule from Sivac will face the Temerin team in Temerin, while Crvenka’s Laki team will visit Jabuka on Sunday. Upcoming football events

Hajduk’s footballers host the team of Feniks from Stara Pazova in the 14 round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina group. Given that the league leaders are coming to Kula, it is clear how difficult a task Hajduk’s footballers will face. However, they have no choice, as only a positive result can keep them from falling to the bottom of the table. The match between Hajduk and Feniks from Stara Pazova will be played tomorrow at the “Milan Sredanović” Stadium, with kickoff at 13 hours.

In the fourteenth round of the Sombor District League championship, all three teams from our municipality are playing away. Tomorrow, Rusin from Ruski Krstur will visit third-placed Polet in Karavukovo. Lipar will play Budućnost in Mladenovo on Sunday, while former first-league side Crvenka will play Naša zvezda in Silbaš on Sunday. These matches will also kick off at 13.

The final round of the autumn half of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division will feature two derbies: a municipal derby, as Mladost and Polet from Sivac meet in Kruščić, and the autumn derby, as second-placed OFK Odžaci take on table leaders Kula in Odžaci. These matches are scheduled for Sunday and will start at 13.

In the seventh round of the Serbian Republic League North Group championship, Hajduk’s basketball team travels to Nova Pazova. Hajduk coach Danilo Borović says they will be weakened in Nova Pazova, as Đurović, Lješević and Mandić will be absent, but this will give other players a chance to make up for their absence, record a win and forget the previous round’s defeat. The match between Nova Pazova and Hajduk will be played in Nova Pazova tomorrow, starting at 17.

The fifth round of the volleyball championship is scheduled for this weekend. Hajduk’s volleyball players, members of the Second League, host Proleter from Zrenjanin tonight. The players from Kula have not earned a single point so far this season, so they are inviting fans to come in large numbers tonight and help them earn their first points. The match between Hajduk and Proleter from Zrenjanin will begin at 20 at the Petefi Brigade Primary School sports hall.

In the fifth round of the First Vojvodina League championship, Hajduk’s women’s volleyball team play away in Subotica, where they face Win Volley. It is enough to say that Win Volley’s players lead the table, so it is clear who the favorites are in the match, which will be played in Subotica on Sunday and will begin at 11 hours and 30 minutes.

In the eighth round of the First Vojvodina League, Hajduk bowlers host league leaders Kristal from Zrenjanin in Vrbas. The match will be played on Sunday at the “Drago Jovović” Center for Physical Culture bowling alley in Vrbas, starting at 16.

The seventh annual international Serbian Grappling Cup will be held on Sunday in Kula, at the Petefi Brigade Elementary School gym, under the auspices of the Serbian Wrestling and Grappling Federation and organized by the Kula-based Constrictor Fight Team Martial Arts Club. Competitions will begin on Sunday at 11, when the younger athletes will demonstrate their skills, while the senior program will start at 15.
