Last night, in the first match of the promotion playoff for a place in the Serbian Super League, Crvenka’s handball players lost 32:30 away to Jugović in Kać. Coach Vladimir Zejak’s players made a poor start, which the experienced Kać team punished, going into halftime with a five-goal lead—the score after the first 30 minutes was 17:12 in Jugović’s favor. At the start of the second half, Jugović had a seven-goal lead, but then Crvenka goalkeeper Nemanja Karavezić began making saves. The “squirrels” entered the last two minutes two goals behind and had a good chance to make the match completely uncertain, as Ivić shot from his own half toward the empty Jugović goal, but unfortunately missed. The hosts punished them for it and calmly saw out the match, winning 32:30. In last night’s match in Kać, Crvenka’s young player Veljko Čabrilo was the top scorer with six goals, while captain Radonjić and Ivić scored five each.
Tomorrow, Crvenka’s handball players will play the second match of the promotion playoff for a place in Serbia’s Super League: they will host Morava from Velika Plana in their own hall from 19.
