The Serbian ARKUS Super League handball championship resumes tomorrow. Crvenka host Partizan from Belgrade. The visitors have secured a place in the playoffs, while Crvenka will compete in the play-out, so tomorrow’s match has little competitive significance beyond club prestige. For that very reason, Crvenka coach Vladimir Zejak says he will use the match against Belgrade’s black-and-whites to prepare the team for their next fixture against Proleter in Zrenjanin, which is crucial to Crvenka’s future. A win in Zrenjanin would mean that Crvenka carry four points into the relegation round, giving them a much better chance of staying in the top flight. The match between Crvenka and Partizan from Belgrade will be played tomorrow at the “Slobodan Čile Mišković” sports hall and will begin at 18.
Our football clubs are preparing for the spring half of the championship and will use the weekend to assess their progress so far. Serbian League side Hajduk will visit Lipar tomorrow, where they will play a friendly against Lipar, a member of the Sombor Inter-Municipal League First Division, starting at 14. Rusin, a member of the Sombor District League, will host Budućnost from Savino Selo in Ruski Krstur on Sunday. That friendly will also start at 14.
