Schedule for the traditional lighting of the Yule logs in our municipality

Tomorrow, Christmas Eve, with the traditional lighting of the Yule log, will be celebrated solemnly in every settlement in our municipality.

In Kula, the blessing and lighting of the Yule log will, in keeping with tradition, take place at two locations. Tomorrow, the Divine Liturgy will first be held at the Church of Saint Mark, after which people will go to collect the Yule log. The evening service, blessing, and lighting of the Yule log will then begin at 15. The blessing and lighting of the Yule log in Kula will also be held at Jaroš, organized by Kula’s local communities, from 19, with mulled wine and tea provided for all visitors, accompanied by live music.

In Crvenka, in the courtyard of the Church of Saint Sava, the Yule log will be blessed and lit by the priest of the Church of Saint Sava, Father Miloš Petrović, at 15 hours and 30 minutes.

The procession with the Yule log will set off through Sivac tomorrow at 14, followed by the placing and lighting of the Yule log in the schoolyard, next to the grounds of the Church of St. Nicholas, at 15. Father Danijel Kobiljski, the priest in charge of the Church of St. Nicholas, will light the Yule log.

Tomorrow, the Yule log will be lit in Lipar in front of the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, in the village center, starting at 18. On that occasion, gift packages will be distributed to all the children from the kindergarten, as well as to children attending religious instruction through 4th grade.

In the Kruščić Local Community, the Yule log will be lit in the village center at 17, and mulled wine, tea and sweets will be available to all visitors. In the Nova Crvenka Local Community, Christmas Eve will be celebrated with the lighting of the Yule log on the church grounds next to the Pensioners’ Club, starting at 16 and 30 minutes.

The Yule log will also be lit tomorrow in Ruski Krstur. It will be set alight in the village center at 17, and gift packages have been prepared for all children who come, while mulled wine and tea will be available for other visitors.
