Two public calls have been announced for awarding non-refundable incentive funds to implement projects using solar energy in irrigation systems and energy-efficient public lighting in local self-government units
The Provincial Secretariat for Energy and Mineral Resources has announced two calls for non-repayable incentive funds: one to co-finance projects using solar energy in irrigation systems, and the other for energy-efficient public lighting projects in local self-government units. Both calls were announced on 2 September 2015, and the application deadline is 22 September 2015.
Individuals who are holders of registered agricultural holdings in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina are eligible to participate in the first Call for Applications, with the aim of implementing projects that use solar energy in irrigation systems. Eligible costs include the purchase and installation of new solar-powered pumping systems for irrigation (photovoltaic panels, a solar water pump with controller, battery) and other associated electrical and mechanical equipment; the installation of more energy-efficient equipment for using solar energy for irrigation; and reducing energy costs, dependence on imported fossil fuels and increasing the energy independence of agricultural holdings. In this way, the project contributes to reducing harmful emissions into the environment, promoting the use of renewable energy sources and revitalizing existing irrigation systems on registered agricultural holdings.
The total amount allocated is 12.000.000,00 dinars. The maximum amount awarded for a single project is 800.000,00 dinars. 22.000.000,00 dinars have been allocated for the second public call to co-finance energy-efficient public lighting projects, and the maximum amount awarded for a single project is 5.000.000,00 dinars.
The non-repayable incentive funds awarded may be used to co-finance projects by local self-government units in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to renovate public lighting, including replacing existing light fixtures and installing fixtures with energy-efficient light sources and associated equipment, as well as replacing existing light fixtures and installing fixtures with energy-efficient light sources and procuring and installing public-lighting control systems with associated equipment.
