In the 11 round of the Serbian ARKUS Super League championship, the Crvenka handball players secured their first win. The victory was all the more significant because it came away against Kikinda, whom Crvenka defeated 26:23. The first half was evenly contested, with neither team able to build a significant lead, but Crvenka were more successful toward the end of the half. Goals by Radonjić and Bošković in the 29 minute gave them a 12:10 lead, signaling that they could take points in Kikinda. Coach Vladimir Zejak's players continued to play well in the second half, and when Tasić's goal in the 45 minute put them ahead 20:16, it was clear that victory was within their grasp. According to Crvenka coach Vladimir Zejak, his players' greater desire to win made the difference, along with their relentless defense; when you fight for every ball, success cannot fail to follow. Milan Bošković was Crvenka's top scorer with 7 goals, but young Crvenka back Marko Tasić, who scored six times, was named player of the match. The first half of the championship concluded with the eleventh-round matches. Play will resume in late January, and in the 12 round Crvenka will host Partizan from Belgrade.
In the 11 round of the First Serbian League championship, Hajduk’s basketball players beat Joker from Sombor 79:73 at home. It was a very exciting game, as Hajduk were facing a team that had won every game up to that point. However, Hajduk’s basketball players were undeterred by that fact, put in a very strong performance, and deservedly came out on top. The visitors started the game better and had a 12-point lead in the 12 minute, when they were ahead 28:16. By halftime, however, Hajduk’s basketball players had managed to reduce the deficit to five points, with the score at the break 42:37 in favor of the Sombor team. The second half was a hard-fought battle, and it was not until just over four minutes before the end that Hajduk’s basketball players took the lead, with the score at 69:68. Then, with very patient and disciplined play, they managed to extend their lead and secure an important victory. Hajduk’s top scorer was Ognjen Jokanović with 24 points, followed by captain Zoran Škrbić, who scored 22; all the other Hajduk players also deserve congratulations for their performance. With seven wins and four losses, Hajduk’s basketball players are third in the standings. The First Serbian League championship will resume on the first weekend in February next year, and in the 12 round Hajduk’s basketball players will visit Futog.
