The upcoming sports weekend will be marked by football and handball

In the 26 round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina group, Hajduk’s footballers host the team of 1. maj Ruma from Ruma. After an unconvincing performance and a defeat in the previous league round, the match against the team from Ruma is one of the last chances for Hajduk’s footballers to close the gap on the teams in mid-table; anything else would significantly distance them from their ultimate goal—remaining in the Serbian League. Hajduk’s footballers are aware of this and say they will give their all to make amends for their poor showing in Novi Banovci and boost their chances of survival with a victory. The match between Hajduk and 1. maj Ruma from Ruma will be played tomorrow at the “Milan Sredanović” stadium and will kick off at 17.

The 25th round of the Sombor District League will feature a local derby, to be played tomorrow in Crvenka between Crvenka and Lipar. Crvenka have been in very good form this spring, have home-field advantage and are clear favorites. Lipar, on the other hand, lost at home in the previous round and will want to make amends in Crvenka, promising an interesting local derby. The match will start tomorrow at 17 hours at the “Milorad Džomba” stadium in Crvenka. Rusin host Naša Zvezda from Silbaš in Ruski Krstur. Their defeat in the previous round has almost extinguished Krstur’s hopes of reaching second place, which would give them a chance to qualify for the higher division through a playoff. In view of this, Rusin can be expected to play without pressure; they have no shortage of quality, so a home win is to be expected. The Rusin–Naša Zvezda match will be played in Ruski Krstur on Sunday, kicking off at 17 hours.

In the 22 round of the Sombor Inter-Municipal League First Division, two teams from our municipality are playing at home. Polet host Omladinac from Bukovac in Sivac, determined to make amends for their heavy defeat in Odžaci, while Mladost host Zadrugar from Srpski Miletić in Kruščić. Our third representative, Kula, visit Omladinac in Deronje. Kula must win if they want to remain in the race for promotion to a higher division. All these matches are scheduled for Sunday and will kick off at 17 hours.

In the 20 round of the Handball Super B League, both teams from the Municipality of Kula are playing away. Crvenka’s handball players visit Smederevo. The hosts are second in the table but have no chance of claiming first place and promotion to the ARKUS Super League. Crvenka are safely positioned in mid-table, which means both teams can play without the pressure of needing a result, so an interesting match can be expected. The Smederevo–Crvenka handball match is scheduled for tomorrow and will start at 13 hours. Sivac 69 visit Vrbas Petrol in Vrbas. Judging by the teams’ positions in the table, the hosts are favorites, but since these are teams that know each other well, an upset is also possible. The Vrbas–Sivac handball match will be played in Vrbas tomorrow, kicking off at 18 hours.
