The upcoming sports weekend will feature football and handball

In the third round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina group, Hajduk host Pančevo’s Dinamo at their home ground in Kula. Kula made a successful start to the season with a home win and an away draw, and are playing well, so it is understandable that they are looking to achieve another good result. Although their opponents, Dinamo, have not earned a point in the first two rounds, Hajduk’s players must not be misled by that and go into the match thinking it will be easy. Instead, they must give their all if they want to continue their successful run. The match between Hajduk and Dinamo from Pančevo will be played tomorrow at the “Milan Sredanović” Stadium in Kula, kicking off at 16 hours and 30 minutes.

Of our three representatives in the Sombor District League, only Rusin will play at home in the third round. On Sunday, the team from Ruski Krstur will host Ratkovo’s Radnički, who have won both of their first two matches, which shows that Rusin will have a tough time earning points. Crvenka play away in Karavukovo tomorrow, where they will face Polet, while our third representative, Lipar, travel to Parage on Sunday to take on Budućnost. These matches will also kick off at 16 hours and 30 minutes.

In the second round of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division championship, Polet will host the Aleksa Šantić team in Sivac, Mladost will host the Dunav team from Bački Monoštor in Kruščić, while Kula will play away against Zadrugar in Srpski Miletić. All these matches are scheduled for Sunday and will begin at 16 hours and 30 minutes.

As far as handball is concerned, the focus this weekend will be on the 16th annual “Vlade and Novak” Memorial Handball Tournament, organized by Handball Club “Sivac 69” in memory of its two members, Vlado Džuver and Novak Stijepović, who died tragically. In addition to hosts Sivac 69, the memorial tournament will feature Super B League teams Crvenka and Vrbas, as well as First League side Hercegovac from Gajdobra. Tomorrow, the first day of the tournament, Crvenka and Hercegovac will meet at 16, followed by Sivac 69 and Vrbas at 18 hours and 30 minutes. The losing teams will play for third place on Sunday at 16, while the winners will meet in the final on Sunday at 18 hours and 30 minutes to determine the winner of the “Vlade and Novak” Memorial Handball Tournament.
