A puppet theater performance from Montenegro, “Zvrle’s Monodrama”

“Zvrle’s Monodrama” is a play which, after watching it, children send a message to their parents. Zvrle is a boy who, like all children today, lives cozily in his own environment, surrounded by every kind of electronic device, but is troubled by loneliness. While Mom and Dad are at work, Zvrle tries to use his imagination to ease that loneliness by inventing pets he can spend time with. However, things do not go quite as he imagined, and in the end Zvrle concludes that what he really needs is real companionship and real love—a sister or brother, or both. This is a brief description of the puppet show “Zvrle’s Monodrama,” which pupils and residents of Nova Crvenka were able to see on Thursday, 21.11.2109. The performance was staged by a traveling educational theater from Herceg Novi. The “Škatula” Theater visited Nova Crvenka at the invitation of the Association of Montenegrins, and the performance was supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The play is based on a script by Tode Nikoletić, with direction, puppets and music by Zoran Milošaković, and performed by actor Željko Vavić. On Friday, 22. November at 09:30 and 12:00, pupils in Crvenka will also be able to see the performance.
