The President of the Municipality of Kula presented tablet computers to pupils from socially disadvantaged families

On the occasion of the Saint Sava holidays, Kulа Municipality President Damjan Miljanić today presented tablet computers to pupils from socially disadvantaged families. Miljanić recalled that, on the same occasion, more than 400 gift packages had been distributed to churches across the Municipality of Kula, and that a formal reception had been held for Sara Joksović from Sivac, who received the University of Novi Sad award for Student of the Year in the field of technical and technological sciences and was given books and a mobile phone.

- The distribution of tablet computers to high-achieving students from socially disadvantaged families will continue over the next few days. More than twenty tablets in total will be distributed across all the settlements in our Municipality. In this way, we want to highlight the values that matter in our Municipality and encourage young people to work hard and succeed in their studies, because that is what is best for our children, said Mayor Miljanić.

Bojana Stojkov, a first-grade pupil at Petefi Brigada Elementary School in Kula, really liked the gift. She said that the tablet computer would be very useful for her future studies.

Šerženka Mikloš, a seventh-grade student at Petefi Brigada Primary School in Kula, said he was very happy to receive the tablet and sweets, and that he would work hard and study so that, like his sister, he could enroll in medical school to train as a pharmaceutical technician.
