An exciting sports weekend lies ahead, marked by numerous events

One of the events expected to attract considerable attention is the “Milan Sredanović” Memorial Football Tournament, organized by Football Club “Hajduk 1912” with the support of the Sports Association of Serbia and financial assistance from the Municipality of Kula. Children born in 2008. , 2010. , 2011. and 2012 will compete. The first memorial tournament will be held tomorrow and the day after, bringing together more than 600 young footballers from around fifty clubs, including Vojvodina from Novi Sad, TSC from Bačka Topola, Čukarički from Belgrade, Bačka from Bačka Palanka, Novi Sad, as well as Crvenka, Polet from Sivac, Rusin from Ruski Krstur and many other clubs. All necessary measures to protect participants will be in place, thanks to the “Sigma” Company, which donated disinfectants for everyone taking part. The tournament will begin tomorrow at 9 at the “Milan Sredanović” stadium. Saturday is set aside for children born in 2008. and 2010, with the final matches scheduled for 14 hours and 45 minutes. On Sunday, children born in 2011. and 2012 will showcase their skills, also starting at 9, and the final matches in these age groups will be played from 14 hours and 45 minutes. The trophies will be presented to the most successful participants by Jelena Sredanović, daughter of Milan Sredanović, in whose memory the memorial tournament is being held.

In the third round of the Serbian Super League, Crvenka’s handball players visit Pančevo, where they will face Dinamo. Crvenka, newcomers to the Super League, have lost their first two matches and are visiting Dinamo, who, along with Novi Sad’s Vojvodina, are favorites to win the trophy, so it is clear that anything other than a Pančevo victory would be a surprise. Precisely because Dinamo are strong favorites and Crvenka’s players have nothing to lose in Pančevo, the “squirrels” can play without pressure and show that they deserve their place among the handball elite. The Dinamo–Crvenka match will be played in Pančevo tomorrow, starting at 19 hours and 30 minutes.

In the second round of the Super B League championship, Sivac 69 will host Mačva from Bogatić at their home venue in Sivac. Mačva comfortably defeated the Bačka Palanka Lions at home in the first round, establishing themselves as contenders for the top spot, while Sivac 69 lost in Lazarevac in the opening round. The home match against Mačva is therefore an opportunity for Branko Žeželj’s team to make amends for that defeat and show that they have assembled a squad capable of challenging for the top of the table. The handball match between Sivac and Mačva from Bogatić will be played at the Sivac sports hall on Sunday, starting at 18.

In the 13 round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina group, Hajduk’s footballers travel to face Feniks 1995. The Kula team have suffered four consecutive defeats, although they put in good performances, especially in their last two matches. Building on those strong performances, Hajduk coach Slobodan Bačić is optimistic ahead of the match against Feniks, saying that he believes in a positive result if his players perform responsibly and with discipline. The match between Feniks and Hajduk will be played in Pećinci tomorrow, kicking off at 15.

In the eleventh round of the Vojvodina League, North group, Crvenka’s footballers travel to face Bačka in Pačir. Crvenka recorded an important home victory over Njegoš from Lovćenac in the previous round and, free of any pressure, can play in Pačir without expectations—and that very freedom can often lead to a positive result. The match between Bačka and Crvenka will be played in Pačir on Sunday, kicking off at 15.

In the 11 round of the Sombor District League championship, Rusin’s footballers from Ruski Krstur visit Stanišić, where they face the team of the same name. The home team tops the standings and, playing on its home ground, is certainly the favorite. However, the Krstur team has also shown its quality so far this season and is fourth in the standings, suggesting that a high-quality match can be expected in Stanišić. The match between Stanišić and Rusin will be played in Stanišić on Sunday, starting at 15 o’clock.

The ninth round of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division will feature a municipal derby, as Kula and Polet from Sivac meet at the Geder ground in Kula. It will be a clash between third-placed Kula and fourth-placed Polet, and the winner will take a significant step toward the top of the table. Second-placed Lipar travel to face second-from-bottom Jedinstvo in Ribarево, determined to record another win, while the toughest task awaits bottom-placed Mladost, who will host league leaders Bratstvo from Prigrevica in Kruščić. All these matches are scheduled for Sunday and will begin at 15.

In the fourth round of the Vojvodina Futsal League, Hajduk’s futsal players host Fortuna from Futog. It will be a clash between teams that have yet to win this season, and the Kula side are hoping their home-court advantage will bring them their first victory. The match between Hajduk and Fortuna from Futog will be played on Sunday in the Petefi Brigade Elementary School sports hall, kicking off at 21.

Hajduk’s basketball players host the team from Novi Banovci, Omladinac, in the third round of the First Serbian League championship. After a successful start, Hajduk’s players underperformed in the previous round, suffering a convincing defeat in Sremska Mitrovica, so the match against Omladinac is an opportunity to make amends. The match between Hajduk and Omladinac from Novi Banovci will be played tomorrow in the Petefi Brigade Primary School sports hall, starting at 19 o’clock.

In the third round of the Second Serbian League championship, Sivac’s basketball players host Bagljaš from Zrenjanin. The match will be played at the Sivac sports hall on Sunday, starting at 15 o’clock.
