Hajduk’s footballers suffered their third consecutive defeat in the fifth round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina Group. Coach Zoran Ćirić’s team lost 2:1 to Borac away in Sakule, despite taking the lead with a goal by young Ilija Jovanović. Following this defeat, Hajduk are eleventh in the standings with 6 points, and in the next round they will host Radnički from Zrenjanin in front of their home fans.
Crvenka’s footballers were also unsuccessful: in the fifth round of the Vojvodina League, North group, they lost 6:0 away to Stari Grad in Bačka Palanka. The heavy defeat speaks volumes about the balance of play and Crvenka’s poor performance. Crvenka are currently thirteenth in the table with 4 points, and they are away again in the sixth round, when they will face Bačka in Pačir.
Dragutin Božović’s debut on Rusin’s bench was marked by a convincing win for his team. In the 5 round of the Sombor District League, Rusin’s footballers beat Vojvodina from Tovariševo 4:0 in Ruski Krstur. Branković “opened” the scoring with a spectacular free kick, then Dejan Budinski scored twice and Dejan Davidović added a penalty to seal Rusin’s emphatic win. Rusin are currently ninth in the table with 7 points, and in the sixth round they travel to BSK in Bački Brestovac.
The fifth round of the Sombor Inter-Municipal League, First Division, was highlighted by the municipal derby in Lipar, where the hosts, Lipar’s footballers, beat Polet from Sivac 3:0. Lazić, Žarić, and Zrakić scored for Lipar. Kula lost 5:1 away to hosts Borac in Bački Gračac, as did our fourth representative, Mladost from Kruščić, who lost 5:1 to Zadrugar in Srpski Miletić. Polet are currently seventh and Kula eighth, each with 7 points, while Lipar are ninth and Mladost tenth in the table, with six points each. In the next round, Mladost host league leaders Omladinac from Deronje in Kruščić, Kula host Aleksa Šantić, Polet host Borac from Bački Gračac in Sivac, and Lipar travel to Zadrugar in Srpski Miletić.
