The new District League season begins

The Sombor District League season begins this weekend. Six clubs from Kula Municipality are competing: Hajduk Junior and Kula from Kula, Crvenka, Mladost from Kruščić, Rusin from Ruski Krstur, and Lipar. The draw has set up two municipal derbies to mark the opening round: tomorrow, Crvenka and Mladost from Kruščić will meet in Crvenka, and on Sunday, Lipar and Hajduk Junior will meet in Lipar. Rusin from Ruski Krstur travel to Tovariševo tomorrow to face Vojvodina, while Kula travel to Bačka Palanka on Sunday to take on Stari Grad. All these matches start at 17.

The main question ahead of the start of the Sombor District League season is how well-equipped our clubs are for the competition. “Hajduk Junior” seems to have benefited the most. Janko Kulić from “Rusin,” goalkeeper Predrag Brkić from “Kula,” Dražen Veselinović from “BSK” in Bački Brestovac, Miljan Đođić from “Kula,” Nemanja Majkić from “Crvenka,” and Marko Savić, who joins “Hajduk Junior” from “BSK” in Bački Brestovac and is a native of Kula, have joined the club. Two young players, Stojanov and Drinić, have also returned from Bačka Topola. “Hajduk Junior” have lost Vujmilović, who left for “Odžaci,” Kuzmanović, and goalkeeper Kalinić, who left for a job abroad. The management of “Crvenka,” newcomers to the District League, have also done good business. Jovan and Miloš Radmanović, as well as Pavle Perović, have joined “Crvenka” from “Zadrugar” in Srpski Miletić; goalkeeper Đurišić from Sivac’s “Polet”; Filip Faćol from “Sloga” in Čonoplja; and Nenad Končar and Nemanja Ivić have returned from “Rusin.” “Crvenka” have lost young Luka Jović, who left for “Odžaci”; veteran Predrag Kišjuhas, who returned to “Mladost” in Kruščić; Nemanja Majkić, who moved to “Hajduk Junior”; and Filip Vujičić, who left for “Zadrugar” in Srpski Miletić. Along with the aforementioned Kišjuhas, “Mladost” from Kruščić have strengthened their ranks with Komazec and Maksimović, who arrive from Sivac’s “Polet”; Tošić from Kula; Krstović from Savino Selo’s “Budućnost”; and “Jerković” from Crvenka. “Mladost” have lost Fekete, who joined “Rusin” in Ruski Krstur, and striker Rajo Jovanović, who moved to Novi Sad’s “Slavija.” It should be noted that Fekete is the only new face at “Rusin” in Ruski Krstur, which lost Končar and Ivić, who joined “Crvenka,” and Kulić, who moved to “Hajduk Junior,” during the transfer window. As for “Kula,” newcomers to the District League have strengthened their squad with Žarić, who came from “Lipar,” goalkeeper Janičić, Dražić from Pannonija, Novaković from the Vrbas five-a-side football club “Flying Dutchman,” Jančevski from “Hajduk Junior,” and Šarac, who has recovered from injury. “Kula” have lost goalkeeper Brkić and center back Đođić, who joined “Hajduk Junior,” as well as Polić, who moved to “Lipar.” Along with Polić, “Lipar” have also signed Dejan Martin from Pannonija, while Žarić, who moved to “Kula,” Pejanović, who returned to Sivac’s “Polet,” and Čvokić have left “Lipar.” Judging by the transfer window, “Hajduk Junior” and “Crvenka” have clearly been the most ambitious, so it is no surprise that both clubs have announced they will try to challenge for the top of the table and earn promotion. The championship will show how well-founded those ambitions are.
