The season has begun

The football season has begun for clubs from the municipality of Kula competing in the Serbian, Vojvodina and Sombor District leagues.

In the opening match of the Serbian League, Vojvodina Group, Hajduk 1912 travelled to Srbobran, where they drew 0:0 with the Srbobran team. The Kula side had the better of the play, created several excellent chances and hit the post, but the ball would not go in. In the next round, Hajduk 1912 host Mladost from Bački Jarak.

Newcomers to the Vojvodina League North group, Crvenka visited Bajša in the opening round and lost 2:0 to the hosts. Eyewitnesses say Crvenka played well and created chances, but the hosts capitalized on two mistakes by Crvenka’s back line and scored. Crvenka dominated completely in the second half, and the hosts did not manage a single shot on the visitors’ goal, but that counted for little as Crvenka failed to convert their superior play into goals. Next round, Crvenka will host Radnički 1912 from Sombor.

The opening round of the Sombor District League was successful for clubs from the municipality of Kula, with two wins and two draws. Lipar’s footballers earned a valuable win away from home, beating hosts Kulpin 3:1. Žarić scored twice for Lipar, while Čvokić also got on the scoresheet. In Ruski Krstur, Rusin beat Krila Krajine from Bačka Palanka 1:0. The decisive goal was scored midway through the second half by Dražen Veselinović. Kula drew 0:0 with Tvrđava from Bač at the Gedera ground, while newcomers to the District League, Polet from Sivac, also earned a point. In front of their home fans, Sivac drew 1:1 with Budućnost from Parage. The visitors took an early lead, but experienced Romić scored midway through the second half to earn Polet a point. In the next round, Lipar host Vojvodina from Tovariševo, Rusin travel to Radnički in Ratkovo, Kula face Slavija in Pivnice, and Sivac’s Polet travel to Tvrđava in Bač.
