In the eighth round of the Super B League, both of our clubs, Sivac 69 and Crvenka, played away. Sivac’s handball players had the more successful away game, earning a point in Velika Plana with a 29:29 draw against hosts Morava. Branko Žeželj’s team won the first half 17:15, and in the 38 minute they were also five goals ahead, leading 22:17. In the 43 minute, Sivac led 23:19, but then their performance faltered, which the hosts took advantage of, scoring a run of 6:0 to take the lead. Still, in the final minute, experienced Vitomir Kalić scored his eighth goal to earn Sivac a point. Alongside Kalić, Marko Čabai was also effective, scoring 8 goals as well.
Our other top-flight team, Crvenka's handball players, lost to Lavovi 35:32 away in Bačka Palanka, although they had won the first half 17:15 and were also four goals ahead in the 44 minute, leading 26:22. One reason for the defeat was certainly the short bench, as Crvenka travelled to Bačka Palanka without four of their best players: goalkeeper Nemanja Račić, who was out with a cold; winger Aleksandar Švelja, who had university commitments; Ignjat Nešić, who had sprained his ankle; and Nenad Slavuljica, who had personal commitments. Bošković was Crvenka's top scorer, with 9 goals.
After the eighth round, Sivac 69 is fourth in the standings with 9, while Crvenka is eighth with 6 points. In the next round, Sivac 69 hosts Kolubara from Lazarevac, while Crvenka hosts Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej.
In the 14 round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina group, Hajduk’s footballers drew 0:0 with Vršac in front of their home fans. In the second half, when the players ran out of energy, there were no more chances, and the match ended in a draw.
