This year, Orthodox Christians in Serbia will have five non-working days for the Easter and May Day holidays, so employees will not have to work from Friday, 30. April, until Tuesday, 4. May.
Under the Law on State and Other Holidays, Easter holidays in Serbia are observed from Good Friday through Easter Monday, inclusive.
This year, the Easter holidays are observed here from 30 April (Friday) through 3 May (Monday).
Since Labour Day is a public holiday observed on 1 and 2 May, and this year falls on Saturday and Sunday, under the law the next working day after the Easter holidays, Tuesday 4 May, is also a day off.
Pupils will have a 10-day spring break this year, which, according to the Ministry of Education calendar, begins on 30 April and ends on 9 May.
