Pensioners to receive 100 euros on 15 May

Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali said that the assistance measure for citizens was a good one, because the money would certainly return to Serbia’s economy. “We will adopt a revised budget at a government session, which will include all these economic measures, and payments of the minimum wage will begin in the first week of May. We are also adopting a regulation granting 100 euros to every citizen of Serbia. We will automatically pay 100 euros to all pensioners—1,7 million people—and to everyone receiving social assistance. We will start on May 15, and then give the remaining adult citizens the option to register if they want 100 euros,” Mali told TV Pink. He added that this would be confirmed by phone, as in recent days he had heard that many people did not want the assistance. RTV
