Applications are open for the beekeeping subsidy program

Applications for beekeeping incentives per beehive open today, the Agricultural Payments Administration announced.

A legal entity, entrepreneur or individual—the holder of a commercial family agricultural holding—who meets the conditions prescribed by the law governing agricultural and rural development incentives may qualify for livestock farming subsidies per beehive for at least 20 and no more than 1.000 beehives.

In practice, this means that beekeepers with fewer than 20 marked and registered beehives do not meet the requirements to receive the beehive subsidy, while those with more than 1.000 hives who apply for this subsidy will not automatically be rejected for exceeding the prescribed number of hives, but will be granted subsidies for 1.000 beehives.

Applications for beekeeping-hive subsidies may be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – Agrarian Payments Administration, at Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 84, 11050 Belgrade.

Beekeepers will again be able to apply electronically for the “per-beehive subsidy” this year. The portal for submitting electronic applications can be accessed from the official website of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, uap.gov.rs.

The subsidy amounts to 800 dinars per beehive.
