Alongside the Take a Receipt and Win 2018 prize draw, a competition is also being held among cities and municipalities for the number of fiscal receipts and slips collected and submitted.
All cities, city municipalities and municipalities within the Republic of Serbia are eligible to participate in the competition. To give all local governments an equal chance of winning, they have been divided into three competition groups according to population size – small, medium and large.
Three municipalities will be selected in each competition category, nine in total, and each will receive an award of 23.000 euros. These funds are intended for equipping and renovating schools, hospitals, kindergartens, squares, and other facilities and assets of public importance, as selected by citizens.
Local governments that rank first in their category will also earn additional WiFi free Wi-Fi zone.
The ranking in each category is based on the number of receipts and card slips submitted per capita, weighted by purchasing power. Local governments can check their position daily on the page Municipalities ranking.
