A joint meeting of the Employment and Economy Council was held today in the Kula Municipal Assembly Hall. The meeting was chaired by Council President Damjan Miljanić, and, in addition to representatives of the Kula Municipal Administration, it was attended by representatives of the “Komunalac” Kula Public Utility Company, LAG “Heart of Bačka,” Sigma LLC Kula, Blaško – Gradnja, the Crvenka Secondary Vocational School, “Bačka” AD Sivac, the National Employment Service, and Jaffa Crvenka LLC. After approving the minutes of the previous meeting, Council members moved on to an analysis of the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the next item on the agenda. Council President Damjan Miljanić said that the current situation in the Municipality of Kula did not warrant declaring a state of emergency, but was far from stable.
“The measures have been raised to the highest level, and sufficient quantities of disinfectant have been secured, thanks in large part to a donation from Sigma,” said Miljanić. He also thanked Jaffa for its overall contribution during the state of emergency.
Ivan Marić of the National Employment Service said that after the state of emergency was lifted, in-person reporting for the register had resumed, but from mid-July reporting by telephone was reintroduced, as was registration by email. Employers are also able to apply online.
The agenda also included the Local Employment Action Plan for 2021, and the proposed measures are: public works, support for self-employment, work experience placements, training to increase opportunities for self-employment and employment/promotion of women’s entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurship information desk on potential sources of funding, strengthening associations, the SEED Step III program, dual education, and a business incubator.
The Plan is scheduled to be adopted in December, so amendments and additions may be made.
