The previous evening, a severe storm accompanied by heavy showers and hail caused extensive damage across Kula Municipality. The settlements of Lipar and Ruski Krstur, parts of Kula and Crvenka, and especially Kruščić, were affected. Since last night, teams from public utility companies, led by the Komunalac Public Utility Company, which coordinates all the services involved, have been working to repair the damage.
Despite the timely response of the hail-protection service, during which 9 stations operated in the Municipality of Kula and 59 rockets were launched between 19.12 and 20.13, and 6 stations operated and 6 rockets were launched between 23.12 and 23.59, the severe weather caused serious damage, especially to farmers.
Kula Municipality President Damjan Miljanić immediately issued a statement convening a meeting of the Emergency Situations Headquarters for this morning at 08:30 o’clock. The meeting was attended by directors of public utility companies, representatives of local communities and members of the commission formed to assess the damage caused. It was decided that all farmers may report damage to buildings and crops so that, following an assessment, they can receive assistance in repairing the damage caused by the storm. Farmers can find the damage report form on the Kula Municipality website or contact the local community office in the settlement where they live.
