The third Jaffa Cross Country Meet for athletics schools was held at Crvenka’s “Potok” picnic area. This athletics event brought together around 250 competitors from Crvenka, Kula, Ruski Krstur, Sombor, Bezdan and Novi Kneževac. The event was organized by the Crvenka Athletics Club, and Katarina Grubor, a coach with the club, expressed satisfaction with the number of registered competitors, which also shows that the Jaffa Cross Country Meet for athletics schools is growing into an impressive athletics and sporting event. She also noted that outdoor competitions are coming up and said she hoped the season would continue successfully:
“A large number of age groups took part, starting with the 2012 to 2019 age groups, which included athletics schools. Girls and boys born in 2012 ran the longest distance, 800 meters, while the youngest competitors ran 200 meters. More than 250 competitors took part, which in itself is something that makes us happy. As for the upcoming challenges for our club, we have already competed in school competitions and achieved outstanding results. I would single out Jovana Bulatović, who took first place at the provincial school competition and second place at the national school competition, demonstrating an admirable level of fitness. The outdoor season and youth competitions are now starting, and we expect excellent results in the near future as well.”
