From Tuesday, craft shops will reopen and curfew hours will be shortened

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that from Tuesday the curfew will begin at 18. The President said that the 100 euros promised by the state to Serbian citizens will be paid out on 11 or 12 May.19

Pensioners will be able to go for a half-hour walk three times a week, from 18.00 to 01.00 o’clock—on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, Aleksandar Vučić told  Pink. “From 18.00 to 01.00, pensioners will be able to choose their own half-hour for a walk. Our aim is to avoid having all 1,5 to 1,7 million pensioners out on the streets at the same time,” Vučić explained, adding that the existing rule for pensioners going to the shops would remain in place. For everyone else, the curfew will begin at 18 on Tuesday and last until five in the morning. Vučić announced that all craft businesses would reopen on Tuesday: tire repair shops, auto repair shops, dry cleaners, shoemakers, tailors, and shops selling cars, bicycles, technical goods and building materials. He expects other shops of up to 300 square meters to open on 27 April, except for those in shopping centers, if the coronavirus situation is favorable. “If things get worse, we will withdraw the measures,” Vučić said. He said the plan was for hair salons, beauty salons and gyms to open from 4 May. Vučić said that the reopening of hotels, spas, shopping centers and intercity transport, as well as the controlled reopening of airports, cafés and restaurants, was planned for between 4 and 11 May. Vučić said construction workers would be able to resume work “at full speed” from Tuesday, in both high-rise and civil engineering construction, noting that Serbia has many projects. RTS
