Starting today, businesses can apply for the Economic Measures Program to reduce the negative effects caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, worth 608,3 billion dinars, or 5,1 billion euros.
On Friday, the Government of Serbia adopted three regulations governing the implementation of the Economic Measures Program.
A decree on tax benefits and direct payments to private-sector businesses and financial assistance to citizens has been adopted, along with a decree establishing a financial support program for businesses to maintain liquidity and working capital under difficult economic conditions, as well as a decree on procedures for issuing debt securities during the state of emergency.
As announced, the Development Fund’s call for applications for assistance to businesses in maintaining liquidity is expected to be published today. The legal framework for the guarantee scheme to support businesses—entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises—will also be completed by Thursday.
The value of the loans to be issued in this way is two billion euros. The state will guarantee this money, which will be available this month.
As announced, the regulation concerning farmers will also be ready by Thursday.
