Local Community office broken into

Over the weekend, the office of the Nova Crvenka Local Community was broken into. An unknown perpetrator, or several of them, forced open two doors in the Local Community building on the night between Friday and Saturday ( 17. and 18. February) and took a computer with an LCD monitor, scanner, wireless keyboard and mouse, as well as a fax machine from the office. Ognjen Kovačević, president of the Nova Crvenka Local Community Council, points out that the damage exceeds the value of the stolen items because the computer contained all the data needed for the Local Community’s work. Kovačević informed Željko Kovač, president of the Interim Authority in Kula, and Branislav Vujović, director of the Construction Institute, about the theft. In addition to procuring new computer equipment and a fax machine, the municipality is expected to arrange for video surveillance to be installed in the Nova Crvenka Local Community building to prevent further thefts.
