A packed sports weekend lies ahead, with handball, basketball, volleyball and football in the spotlight.
Sivac’s handball players, members of the Super B League, will visit Novi Bečej in the 10 round of the championship, where they will face Jedinstvo. Buoyed by their victory in Bačka Palanka in the previous round, the Sivac players say that they will confirm that success against Jedinstvo with a good performance and a positive result. The handball match between Jedinstvo and Sivac will be played in Novi Bečej tomorrow, starting at 19 hours and 30 minutes.
Crvenka’s young handball players, the Laki team, have also continued their pursuit of points. In the 8 round of the First League, they will travel to Temerin on Sunday, where they will play a league match against the home team, Temerin, starting at 18.
Crvenka’s handball players, members of the Serbian ARKUS Super League, are preparing for the start of the play-out, where they will try to secure their place in the top tier of handball. As part of their preparations, Crvenka will play a friendly match tomorrow in their hall against Spartak from Subotica, starting at 18 hours and 30 minutes.
In the 14 round of the Group A First Serbian League championship, Hajduk’s basketball players will visit Topola in Bačka Topola. The match has no bearing on the competition, as Hajduk have secured a place in the playoffs, while Topola will compete in the play-out, so the points will not carry over. However, it will serve as a good test for Hajduk coach Danilo Borović to assess the players who have had less playing time so far this season. The match between Topola and Hajduk will be played tomorrow in the gymnasium of the Čaki Lajoš Elementary School in Bačka Topola, starting at 19 hours.
Hajduk’s volleyball team, leaders of the First Vojvodina League table, will host the Botafogo team from Novi Sad in round 10 of the championship. Given that the visitors have not earned a single point so far this season, anything other than a convincing Hajduk victory would be a sensation. The Hajduk–Botafogo match from Novi Sad will be played tomorrow at the Petefi Brigade Primary School sports hall in Kula, starting at 16 hours and 30 minutes.
The start of the football spring season is also approaching for clubs from the municipality of Kula, so they are using the time before the race for points begins to test their readiness in friendly matches.
Serbian League team Hajduk will host Mladost from Bački Petrovac tomorrow. The match will be played at Vašarište in Kula, starting at 14 hours. Vojvodina League team Crvenka will host Fruškogorac from Sremska Kamenica on Sunday, starting at 14 hours. District League team Rusin from Ruski Krstur will visit Lovćenac tomorrow, where they will face Njegoš from 14 hours. Polet, a member of the first division of the Sombor Intermunicipal League, will play a friendly against Sombor’s ŽAK in Sivac tomorrow, starting at 15 hours and 30 minutes. Lipar will host Jadran from Feketić on Sunday at 14 hours. And our third representative in the first division of the Sombor Intermunicipal League, Kula, will also take to the field on Sunday. Kula will visit Iskra in Kucura, with the match starting on Sunday at 14 hours. Mladost will play a friendly against Hajduk from Stapar on Sunday at its home ground in Kruščić.
