DAYS OF ANTIFASCISM at the Potok recreation area in Crvenka

The Crvenka Tourist Association, with the wholehearted support of the local government and the Kula Municipal Tourism Organization, organized an event on May 29, titled “Days of Antifascism.” As one of the organizers, a member of the Crvenka Tourist Association  Milan Ćomi Tatalović  said that the month of May is entirely dedicated to antifascism, the May Day dawn gathering and the former May Day parade, and then 9. May—Victory Day and Europe Day; the coronavirus prevented Youth Day from being marked on 25 May. These are all reasons for the event to take on a new name. Beautiful weather, a well-kept picnic site, and an improving epidemiological situation brought many visitors to Potok, where they had the chance to truly enjoy themselves. The gathering began with the arrival of the Youth Relay, brought to Potok by the event's longtime friends from Bački Gračac, led by  Dan Pozlić, and after that visitors could enjoy a meal of soldiers' bean stew, which, also by tradition, is prepared by the skilled chef  Pero Svilar  with assistance  Milana SimićThe central event at the “Days of Antifascism” was the fish paprikash cooking competition, the “Ante Maras – Maki Memorial,” which attracted more than 50 teams, giving the judges a difficult task as they had to choose the best from among the many excellent paprikash dishes. Third place went to the “Al Dugo” team, which received a fishing rod and a tripod for a cooking pot; second place went to the “Free Boys” team, which received a cooking pot and tripod; and first place went to the “Šaran” team from Prigrevica, which received a copper cooking pot with a tripod.

On behalf of the local government, the deputy president of the Municipality of Kula attended the “Days of Antifascism” event  Karolj Valka  who expressed satisfaction with what he saw at Potok, noting that it was clear that people had been longing for events like this because of the well-known situation with COVID, and that the local government would continue to support such events and similar activities in the future.

After the awards ceremony for the top performers, a musical celebration was held for the cooks of the fish paprikash and all visitors to the “Days of Antifascism” at Potok in Crvenka.
