Exactly one month ago, a state of emergency was declared in Serbia due to the coronavirus epidemic. 94 people have died and 4.465 have been infected. Movement will be prohibited from 17.00 on Friday until 5.00 on Tuesday this coming weekend, but pensioners will be allowed to go outside starting next week.
Appearing on the second edition of RTS’s news program, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić announced that a movement ban would be in effect next weekend from Friday at 17 until Tuesday at 5 in the morning. He said the situation with the number of infections was most difficult in southern, eastern and southeastern Serbia, where clusters were emerging, but also stressed that Serbia would defeat the virus with discipline.
