Summer is well underway, temperatures are rising, and many people are spending their time at swimming pools or recreation areas with swimming facilities, found in almost every settlement in the Municipality of Kula. The pool in Kula is already welcoming hundreds of visitors every day, both during the day and for night swimming, and the pool in Crvenka officially opened yesterday. Residents of Ruski Krstur are cooling off at the bathing area, or pool, which has been refurbished, prepared and is now fully operational. In Kruščić, the canal waterfront has been further improved, while Mali Stapar, one of the most beautiful recreation areas in our municipality, has its own beach, playground and other amenities, and in recent years has become an attractive destination for enjoying warm summer days.
According to Kula Municipality President Damjan Miljanić, Kula is one of the few municipalities that can proudly point out that practically every settlement has well-maintained pools and picnic areas, and investment in them will certainly continue:
“Kula is one of the few municipalities that can proudly point out that practically every settlement has well-maintained swimming areas, including pools and picnic spots. In Kula, that is, of course, the sports center, namely the pool at Šarište, our largest sports facility, which is fully operational and already welcomes hundreds of visitors every day. Since yesterday, the pool in Crvenka has also been open. It is owned by the sugar factory, which, thanks to good cooperation and established practice, makes the pool available to the Sports Center free of charge every year. The swimming area in Ruski Krstur, or the pool, as they call it, has also been refurbished and prepared for this season and is already in full operation. Today we are also at Mali Stapar, where intensive investment has taken place over the past few years. Since last year, the riverbank area has also been improved, with new amenities installed, and work at Mali Stapar will continue this year, so this section of the Great Bačka Canal serves as what may be one of our most beautiful picnic areas. In Kruščić, the canal riverbank has also been further improved this year. Work will, of course, continue throughout the year, but the area in Kruščić has already been upgraded. Except for Nova Crvenka and Lipar, which have no canal and therefore no possibility of having a sports facility such as a swimming pool, almost all our larger settlements have well-maintained swimming areas, and the two pools—in Kula and Crvenka—are operational again this year.”
