Hajduk’s basketball players host Sloven from Ruma tonight

The sporting weekend for teams from our municipality begins tonight, with the Hajduk basketball team opening proceedings as they host Sloven from Ruma in the third round of the Northern Group of the First Provincial League. “The Hajduks” have made an excellent start to the season, recording two wins, and are playing in front of their home fans, so it is understandable that they want to continue their winning streak. Hajduk basketball coach Danilo Borović says his players have a tough match ahead, as Sloven are an excellent team who have also recorded two consecutive wins. His team will not be at full strength against the team from Ruma either, but with good support from the stands they will give their all. The match between Hajduk and Sloven from Ruma will be played tonight at the Petefi Brigade Primary School sports hall, starting at 19 hours and 30 minutes.

Both of our municipality’s representatives in the Super B League, Crvenka and Sivac 69, are playing away in round 4. Crvenka visits Ub, where it will face the team of the same name. Crvenka’s handball players put in a great performance in the previous round, beating Apatin, and, buoyed by that success, believe they can repeat their good play in Ub and come away with all the points. The match between Ub and Crvenka will be played in Ub on Sunday, starting at 18. Also on Sunday, at 19 hours and 30 minutes, league leaders Sinđelić and Sivac 69 will face off in Belgrade in the round’s derby. League newcomers Sinđelić are the only team with three wins and lead the table, while Sivac have two wins and one draw, so the clash with the leaders will be a real test of Sivac’s true potential.

The fourth round of the women’s First League championship is also scheduled for Sunday. Krule, newcomers to the First League, will host Proleter from Zrenjanin at the Sivac sports hall. Proleter have won all three of their previous matches. Our other representative, Laki from Crvenka, will play away against Mokrin. Neither Mokrin nor Laki have earned a point, which means the teams are of roughly equal strength, so any result is possible. Both matches, in Sivac and Mokrin, will begin on Sunday at 18.

In the tenth round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina Group, Hajduk’s footballers will host the Omadinac team from Novi Banovci in Kula. Tomorrow’s match is an opportunity for Hajduk to end their run of five consecutive defeats, but it will not be easy, as Omadinac are fifth in the table and have an experienced squad. The team from Kula will therefore have to give their all if they want to avoid another defeat. The match between Hajduk and Omadinac from Novi Banovci will begin tomorrow at 15 at the Milan Sredanović Stadium.

The tenth round of the Sombor District League will feature a local derby. Lipar will host Crvenka. After a poor start, both teams have recorded two wins in their last two rounds, showing that their form is improving, so an exciting football match can be expected. Our third representative, Rusin from Ruski Krstur, travel to face Naša Zvezda in Silbaš. These matches are scheduled for Sunday and will kick off at 15.

In the ninth round of the championship in the Sombor Intermunicipal League, First Division, only one of the three clubs from our municipality will play at home: Kula. The team from Kula will host Omladinac from Deronje at Geder. Sivac’s Polet travel to Omladinac in Bukovac, while Mladost from Kruščić visit Zadrugar in Srpski Miletić. These matches are also scheduled for Sunday and will start at 15 o’clock.

In the fourth round of the Vojvodina Futsal League championship, Hajduk Futsal Club will play away in Subotica, where they will face bottom-placed FUL FIL. The match will be played tomorrow at the Ivan Sarić Technical School sports hall in Subotica, starting at 19 hours and 30 minutes.

In the first round of the Second Republic League championship, Hajduk’s volleyball players host Stražilovo from Sremski Karlovci. Hajduk’s volleyball players will play their opening match against Stražilovo tomorrow in the Petefi Brigade Primary School sports hall, with the match starting at 16 hours and 30 minutes.

Hajduk’s women’s volleyball team, newly promoted to the First Vojvodina League, will visit Vrbas in the opening round of the championship. The match in Vrbas will be played on Sunday, starting at 12 hours and 30 minutes.

In the fifth round of the First Vojvodina League championship, Hajduk’s bowlers will play away in Golubinci, where they will face the local team of the same name. Given that the home team have only one point, while Hajduk’s bowlers have recorded three wins, it is understandable that the team from Kula are expecting another victory. The Golubinci–Hajduk bowling match will be played in Golubinci on Sunday, starting at 14.
