Alongside Hajduk Karate Club, whose achievements we reported yesterday, members of Crvenka Karate Club also did well at the Bačka Zone Championship for beginners, children and youth, held in Odžaci. The young athletes from Crvenka won eight medals, all in kata: seven in individual events and one in the team event. In individual events, children Neven Metikoš and Jovan Lukić won gold medals; fellow children Danijel Došlić and Dušan Grabež won silver; and beginner Helena Mirović Jones, child Sara Sabo and child Nemanja Jošanović won bronze. In the team kata event, Crvenka’s children’s team, comprising Jovan Lukić, Dušan Grabež and Neven Metikoš, took second place and won silver.
All the medal winners for the Crvenka Karate Club, in both individual and team competitions, qualified for the Vojvodina Championship for younger age groups, which will be held in Stara Pazova on 1 March.
