It was an exciting football weekend, marked by Hajduk’s first defeat and Lipar’s third consecutive win.
Hajduk’s footballers suffered their first defeat in the third round of the Serbian League, Vojvodina Group, losing 2:1 away to the home side, Jedinstvo, in Stara Pazova, with a halftime score of 1:0. According to Hajduk head coach Željko Račić, his team started the match well and had two promising opportunities to take the lead in the first twenty minutes, but failed to convert them. Jedinstvo then scored midway through the first half, after which Hajduk’s players lost their composure and were unable to get back into the match, making the home team’s victory deserved. Jović scored Hajduk’s goal in stoppage time. Hajduk are currently eighth in the standings with 4 points, and host Bačka from Bačka Palanka in the next round.

However, Ćovin put all doubts about the winner to rest with his second goal, scored from the penalty spot.
