Football clubs from the Kula municipality competing in the Sombor District League played what is known as their final dress rehearsal yesterday, as their race for points begins next weekend. At Geder, in the local derby, newcomers to the District League, Kula, took on Hajduk Junior. Hajduk Junior won 3:2. Kula's goals were scored by Kukolj and Vojnović, while Davidović scored twice and Kulić once for Hajduk Junior. Yesterday in Ruski Krstur, Rusin hosted the other newcomer to the District League, Crvenka, and recorded a 2:1 victory. Rusin's goals were scored by Oros and Kočiš, and Faćol scored for Crvenka. Lipar and Mladost from Kruščić met in Lipar. Lipar won 7:0, but it should also be noted that the Kruščić team fielded a makeshift lineup. The Sombor District League season begins next weekend, and will feature two local derbies: on Saturday, Crvenka will meet Mladost from Kruščić in Crvenka, and on Sunday, Lipar will play Hajduk Junior in Lipar. On Saturday, Rusin from Ruski Krstur will play Vojvodina in Tovariševo, while Kula will face Stari Grad in Bačka Palanka on Sunday.
Due to poor weather over the weekend, no matches were played in the traditional night small-sided football tournament currently underway in Lipar as part of the village’s Velika Gospojina festivities. The tournament will continue this evening, with Mali Agrar playing PS Sonar, Mali Beograd facing Autodelovi Ferrari, Agrar Promet taking on MS Komerc, and Agro Višković meeting Limar Mandić. The matches will be played on the grounds of Nikola Tesla Elementary School. The first begins at 20, and the prize fund for the Velika Gospojina tournament in Lipar is 180 thousand dinars.
