Polet’s footballers will complete their entire preparation period in Sivac

Four football clubs from the Kula municipality compete in the first division of the Sombor Intermunicipal League: Kula, Lipar, Polet from Sivac and Mladost from Kruščić. Polet from Sivac were the first to begin preparations for the spring part of the season. The players from Sivac began training yesterday, and according to coach Milan Živković, the entire preparation period will take place in Sivac, with a friendly match planned every week to assess their progress. The Sivac team will have their first test on Sunday, when they take on Crvenka. As for the squad, Zejak and Čvokić have left Polet and joined Slavija from Pivnice, while Pavlović has returned to Kordun from Kljajićevo. The Sivac team will rely on their young players for the rest of the season and build up their experience for next season, since they can neither be relegated nor compete for promotion this season.

Lipar’s footballers will begin preparations for the spring half of the Sombor Intermunicipal League, First Division, on Saturday, 30 January. Coach and player Milan Šegan will call the players together. It is worth noting that Lipar will enter the spring season unchanged, as no players have joined or left the club. Lipar have arranged three friendly matches so far: BSK from Bački Brestovac will visit on 7 February; on 14 February they will travel to Kruščić to face Mladost; and on 21 February they will host Jadran from Feketić. Of course, several more matches will be arranged before the spring half-season begins. Lipar finished the autumn season second in the table, so their aim for the spring is to hold on to second place, which leads to a promotion playoff. However, if they get the opportunity to reach the top spot—Prigrevica are only three points ahead—Lipar will certainly try to take it.

Kula’s footballers will begin preparations for the spring half of the season on 1 February, and will play a friendly against Budućnost from Savino Selo as early as 7 February. It looks like Kula will enter the spring half of the championship stronger, as Miljan Drpljanin, who is joining from Odžaci, will join the team. All the players from the autumn half of the season have stayed, which guarantees that Kula will play a significant role in shaping the standings in the spring.

Our fourth representative in the Sombor Intermunicipal League, First Division, Mladost from Kruščić, will begin preparations for the spring season on Saturday. Coach Damir Kilić will call the players together and announce the training schedule; everything will be focused on the sole objective of staying in the league. The Kruščić players are negotiating with four players they plan to bring in; no one has left the club, and they are confident that if the negotiations are successful, they will secure their place in the league. As a reminder, Mladost finished the autumn season at the bottom of the table with minus two points.

The spring half of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division championship will most likely begin on 14 March.
