Football, handball, tennis and volleyball in the spotlight this weekend

Football, handball, tennis and volleyball will be in the spotlight for sports fans this weekend. The action begins tonight, when Sivac’s handball team host Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej in a match in the 21 round of the Super B League championship.

The visitors are bottom of the table, so anything other than a convincing win for Sivac's handball players would be a surprise. The Sivac 69–Jedinstvo from Novi Bečej match will start tonight at 20 in the Sivac sports hall. Speaking of handball, let's also mention that Crvenka's Laki team will take to the court tonight. In their match in round 22 of the First League women's championship, the women from Crvenka will visit Feketić tonight, where they will face Jadran at 20.

In round 37 of the Vojvodina group of the Serbian League championship, Hajduk’s footballers will travel to Banatsko Veliko Selo to face Kozara. The players from Kula are in very good form, having recorded three wins and two draws in their last five matches. They are comfortably in mid-table, while Kozara lost its Serbian League status some time ago, so judging by these facts, Hajduk are favorites. The match between Kozara and Hajduk will be played in Banatsko Veliko Selo tomorrow, beginning at 17 hours and 30 minutes.

In the penultimate, 33 round of the Northern group of the Vojvodina League, Crvenka host Obilić from Novi Kneževac. Buoyed by their win in the local derby against Vrbas, Crvenka’s footballers say they will bid farewell to their fans with a victory before next season. Their optimism is also based on the fact that they are playing at home and that Obilić are bottom of the table. Crvenka and Obilić from Novi Kneževac will meet tomorrow at the “Milorad Džomba” stadium, with kickoff at 17 hours and 30 minutes.

In round 32 of the Sombor District League championship, Rusin from Ruski Krstur host Budućnost from Mladenovo. The match is scheduled for Sunday and will kick off at 17 hours and 30 minutes.

In round 25 of the Sombor Intermunicipal League First Division championship, Mladost host Omladinac from Deronje in Kruščić, Kula welcome Terekveš from Svilojevo at Geder, Lipar visit Aleksa Šantić, while Sivac's Polet have a bye. All these matches are scheduled for Sunday and will kick off at 17 hours and 30 minutes.

Tomorrow and the day after, Hajduk Tennis Club will host the Serbian Open Championship for boys and girls up to 10 years of age. More than 40 young tennis players from all over Serbia have entered. Group matches will be played tomorrow, while the matches to determine the final standings will take place on Sunday. Matches will be played on the courts of Hajduk Tennis Club, and play will begin at 10 on both days.

In round 11 of the Second Vojvodina League championship, Hajduk’s women volleyball players visit Novi Bečej, where they will face Jedinstvo. With their win in the previous round, the women from Kula took over the top spot in the table, and must win to stay there. The match between Jedinstvo and Hajduk will be played in Novi Bečej tomorrow, kicking off at 16.
